Message applications like drag racing or high horsepower I wouldn't bet on it. If it was machined from forged block like L brackets for disk brakes then you would have greater reliability. But casting itself is inheritaly weaker than forged machined aluminum. I bet a ball peen hammer could crack it at the right angle with lateral forces. You can't compare eurathane to aluminum. Eurathane is designed give and flex. The aluminum is not. My glock pistol is made of composite material and has 5 times the service life than an aluminum framed pistol.
